IC; we're going down, down to the ground
(continued from here!)
[Motorcity's got a different feel to it than Deluxe, dirtier and chaotic and free. Nothing watching you except curious eyes, no regulations tailoring you to a uniform white and blue. Julie's still adjusting to the culture--clothes first, of course, she had to make herself fit in if she wanted to lurk around here like a Motorcitizen. The rest she learned by hanging around the pits, listening to street gossip and people shooting the wind.
No gang will take a newbie fresh off the block in. Especially not a girl who still shouted "Deluxian" with her presence who has no clue what a wrench or motor is. There's no chance of it.
Smaller gangs-- yeah, those were the tickets to her stay in Motorcity. If she wanted to know her way around here...
The Burners don't stand out to her at first until she catches wind of a certain name. Mike Chilton's a sore subject with daddy dearest still. The cadet that got away, wasted potential vanished to rot belowground as he put it. But to Julie, that makes his gang all the more alluring.
So it happens that there's a girl waltzing up to the Burner's HQ, stopping at the garage's entrance to let her gaze sweep over its graffiti'd front. Then, cautiously, she pokes her head into the garage. She's sure she saw someone moving around in here.]
Uh... hello?
